Diabetes is multi-faceted disease with a number of factors surrounding its emergence in people. While your chances of developing diabetes may be higher if someone in your immediate family has it, it doesn’t mean that you will automatically develop it. However, if your genetics show a tendency towards diabetes and certain conditions are ripe, your risk increases.
